Absence control in the IB section
All students are expected to attend school regularly. All absences must be cleared by a guardian on Wilma or a medical professional.
Pre-DP year
more than three absences may mean than the course will be marked unfinished (K) and the student may risk transfer to the IB Programme. Link
IB1 and IB2
in HL subjects more than 3 and in SL subjects more than 2 per period (jakso) may mean that student is not entitled to take summative exams in exam week either in November or in March and therefore, the student may risk transfer from IB1 to IB2.
Absence on the final day due to illness or other valid reason must always be reported in advance directly to the teacher (e.g. via Wilma message). The student (18 years old) or the guardian (under 18 years old student) needs to send a message to the subject teacher in Wilma no later than the morning of the final day, if, for example, you are ill on the final day.
Absence on the final day or absence from an exam must also be reported to the teacher of the course in question in Wilma before the retake exam. Otherwise, there is no possibility of retaking the exam and the course is considered interrupted.
